Please have your money in an envelope, with your name and school on the front to be exchanged upon arrival in Kolkata.
The amount of spending money you bring is up to you, but as a guideline, students usually exchange a maximum of €200.
€1 is equal to about 80INR.
Your spending money will be spent on lunches, additional food/soft drinks, evening activities in the hotel, and shopping for gifts/sari’s etc. Additionally, a small amount of 500 Rupees (approx. €6) will be collected by the HOPE Group Leader to go towards gratuities to our bus drivers, hotel staff etc.
